PLACES OF INTEREST

Chocolate MakingLa Chocolaterie de Beussent can be found in the delightful rural setting of the Vallée de la Course, located 23 Km from Le Touquet, 10 Km from Montreuil sur Mer and 17 Km from Desvres. The chocolate factory can make a satisfying and interesting part of your group’s trip to France with towns and cities such as Calais, Boulogne, Montreuil, St. Omer and Desvres all within easy reach.
Agincourt The Battle of Agincourt was fought on 25 October 1415 (Saint Crispin's Day), in northern France as part of the Hundred Years' War. The combatants were the English army of King Henry V and that of Charles VI of France. The battle is notable for the use of the English longbow, which helped the English compensate for their inferior numbers.

Today in Agincourt there is a museum dedicated to the battle - Centre Historique Médiéval that offers a very good overview of the battle, the weapons used and the causes and consequences of the clash at Agincourt.

The Blockhouse of Eperlecques is the largest bunker in Northern France and is classified as a historical building. Built within four months, this monumental factory was designed to manufacture 84.8 tons of liquid oxygen per day and to launch a maximum of 36 rockets a day. With a range of 4,500 km, the A10 rocket would have been able to target America.
La Coupole After Allied bombing raids had crippled the Blockhous at Epelecques, the Germans turned their attentions to La Coupole. The menacing concrete dome that emerges from trees hides not only a rocket-launching base but also an underground slave labour camp ‘home’ to thousands of Russian and Polish prisoners.
