Rhône-Alpes

The Rhone Alpes is a varied region with high mountain areas to the east, which have borders with Switzerland and Italy, the Rhône valley in the center and the hills of the Ardeche to the west. The Alps, although well known for skiing, also offer destinations for summer visits, with beautiful valley landscapes of lakes and rivers. The Beaujolais and Côte du Rhone areas are renowned for their vineyards and wines.
